The Marine Hotel
The Marine Hotel in Criccieth first opened its doors to welcome guests more than one hundred years ago in the heyday of the town’s popularity, when Victorian visitors had a penchant for ‘taking to the waters’.
Today Criccieth and The Marine Hotel are as popular as ever and the hotel now offers comfortable modern facilities including fourteen bedrooms, a conference/function room, restaurant and bar.
Centrally positioned directly opposite the 13th century Criccieth Castle, in close proximity to the twin town beaches and just a few minutes walk from Criccieth High Street, The Marine Hotel is ideally situated for a relaxing stay in this historic town.
Each of the hotel’s fourteen bedrooms offers an en-suite bathroom, television and tea/coffee making facilities. Most of the bedrooms are situated on the first floor, some having their own private seating areas to take advantage of the sea and castle views.
Guests at The Marine Hotel can also enjoy use of the hotel’s television lounge and the sun lounge which faces the castle.
The ground-floor restaurant offers a choice of bar style meals for convenience or a three course meal, for those with a hearty appetite. The chefs source local ingredients where possible and place the emphasis on traditional home cooking. The restaurant’s picture windows look out towards Criccieth Castle and the sea.
